I am writing to fully support requiring vaccinations for staff and students in the K12 environment.  This requirement mirrors the expectation by VDH for other vaccines that are mandated.  It is for the betterment of our community to create herd immunity and protect those that are medically not able to receive this vaccine.

Voluntary!!!  NO mandates on Covid or any flu vaccine.

Since schools mandate other vaccines for students and there is FDA approval for a COVID vaccine for those 12 and up, being vaccinated against COVID should be a requirement for all students 12 and over.

Additionally, since the state has mandated vaccines for others, there is no reason not to also mandate that public school employees be vaccinated 

If vaccines for Covid-19 are necessary for teachers and students to resume their education without any restrictions such as social distancing, mask-wearing, and asking students to quarantine when they have come into contact with someone with the virus, they should require them. However, this policy should only be implemented if it is recommended by the leading health experts in the relative field.

I do not believe that it is fair to mandate vaccines so strictly. Individuals should be given the opportunity for both medical and religious exemptions. Vaccines are necessary to prevent the spread of diseases with many already being required for public school entry. However, Individuals should be allowed to go to work or receive an education without fear of their first amendment rights being violated. It is important for public school counties, local governmental agencies, to uphold the rights given through the Constitution. Forcing individuals to receive a vaccine against their religious beliefs would violate such rights. 

Please oppose this mandate.  Everyone has the right to privacy of their own body; their own DNA.  Vaccine mandates violate the 4th amendment protection of illegal search and seizure.  They also violate the Nuremburg code against forced medical interventions.  No one should have to take a vaccine, and especially a non-sterilizing vaccine, for the benefit of someone else.  If the vaccine does not protect people who get it voluntarily, it does not protect.  Forcing it on someone does not magically change this fact.

I am completely opposed to mandated vaccines for children and teachers with no religious exceptions. There are exceptions for every other vaccine and this should be no different.

This mandate is an over reach of the state. There is no reason to remove religious exemptions when that goes against the religious freedoms allowed to US citizens.

I oppose mandating vaccination for teachers/students, especially without religious exemption. 

Many Virginia schools are already suffering from teacher shortages. Mandating a vaccination to provide for yourself and your family is not a medical decision that is being made free of coercion. Where there is a risk (regardless of how minimal) there must be a choice. 

For students, they should not be required to have a shot that is still in the testing phase. The length the vaccine will be effective is unknown, the potential adverse health reactions have no long-term data, and it is likely this will need to be adapted yearly…much like the flu. Medical decisions are key to bodily autonomy and is a parental and individual right. 

I do not support mandating the vaccine for any employee or child. Freedom of choice! 

No one should be forced to take a vaccine. It is a personal choice. Persons who have had Covid vaccine can and do still contract, carry and spread Covid. Please respect an individual's right to choose. 

Where in our Constitutional Rights does it say that the state holds the authority to mandate medical procedures without honoring religious exemptions? Teachers should be able to exercise bodily sovereignty and reserve the right to choose for themselves whether they vaccinated or not. PERIOD! 

We are an evolved society, or at least I would like to think so.  As an individual who spent 15 years in public health as an emergency manager, writing Pandemic plans, I find myself disgusted with the level of deceit that has been perpetuated on the American people.  The skewed numbers, the misrepresented morbidity and mortality rates, the misinformation that surrounds this vaccine is phenomenal.  At no other time in the History of this FREE country, have we ever seen the level of control over the people this Governor and the Health Commissioner are forcing on the people.  Since there is no possible way to determine if this vaccine will have an ill effect on people in 5, 10 or 20 years (the clinical trials and data are not there), then any effort to force vaccinate anyone would be criminal, unconstitutional and for many of us an unGodly violation of our bodies that would only leave us with one option.  As a Marine wife, I have to see my husband everyday struggle with the actions this government is taking to perpetuate a great fraud on the people and deny them, our GOD given fundamental rights to live.  As a reminder our constitution does not place limitations on the people, it places limitations on the control the government is allowed to take against the people.  We have sat by and waited for you the health department and Governor of this state, to begin to tell the truth to the people.  We know enough about the virus now to know that people who are vaccinated are carrying more of a viral load than those who are unvaccinated.  To continue to lie to the people is unconscionable, but you can't (or don't want) to get in front of the fear you have forced on them.  It's so sad for me, when I talk to the elderly and I see how afraid you have made them. Since I have a father that died from the flu and being placed on a respirator, I'm floored that you would continue to tell people they stand a better chance vaccinated.  I've kept count now of the many people I know who've had COVID.  The total number is 127... In my immediate circle, this includes families who have multiple members who live in their homes.  Do you know how many people died?  ZERO!  Not a single one.  The virus was difficult to kick for some of them, but no more so than other ones we have that are not so common.  

If you force a mandate, then you tell the people of VA that you do not value their constitutional rights to choose, that the American way of life exists no more and you are the ones that took it from us. There are many more people out there, who will not allow you to inject them with the cells from aborted babies.  You will see resistance to this across the board from people who are even pro-vaccine.  Have you even seen what people are saying?  Do you really think the majority is on board with what you've done?  The answer is no... 

We draw the line when you seek to take our choice away.   Since you are medical professionals and your Hypocratic oath is to "first do no harm", I would think that you would hold sacrosanct the purity of medical autonomy and informed consent.  When you take those things away you cease to have a democracy or a republic.  Perhaps, you know that.  Perhaps, this is your goal!  

We the people do NOT support this regulation!  And we certainly do not appreciate the abuse of power being exhibited in Richmond.

I am a teacher , I can tell you if vaccines are mandated,  I will resign from my position. I have my own personal reasons for not getting this vaccine. Currently , there are 125 teacher openings in VBCPS. I have no idea how many other positions are open such as assistants , bus drivers etc… Teachers have already been asked if they are willing to give up their lunch and or planning in VB to cover others teachers classes for blocks of times because  we do not have enough substitutes! There is going to be a larger shortage of every position in the public school system if you mandate vaccines! Teachers can make more money in almost any other job , they are resigning left and right due to stress. This mandate will cause mire than you realize to resign ! In addition , reports have just come our that those who are vaccinated have a higher viral load then those who are not when they get COVID. The vaccinated are getting Covid at higher rates than the unvaccinated .  

This is unconstitutional.  What medical treatment you seek out and receive should be a personal decision!!  Not a government mandate!!  Let teachers choose for themselves.  This is all government overreach and has NOTHING to do with COVID and everything to do with power.  

The covid vaccination should not be mandated by ANY governing body for any population. There is no long term data that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is effective or safe for every person. It is still highly experimental and looking at the number of breakthrough cases will support that. Medical and religious exemptions should never be taken away for any purpose, especially not in this case. 

Institute mandatory vaccination for all staff and students (who meet age requirement). Medical exemptions only. No religious exemptions - magical thinking has no impact on COVID.

Forcing any individual to do something against their own free will is unconstitutional, unethical, morally wrong and should be illegal. Those who believe this shot and/or wearing a mask keeps them safe, should absolutely follow their beliefs. They should also respect other individuals’ beliefs as well. We need to learn to coexist. This country was founded on individualism; to oppose the freedom to choose is a violation of human rights. My body, my choice. 

I believe that the vaccine should not be mandated because there are no long-term side effects Data on how it will affect the children in the future nor is there enough evidence on whether or not it could hurt potentially women that are trying to get pregnant and it also doesn’t show the side effects of what could happen to students with disabilities. I also don’t believe that should be mandatory because it can still be transmitted regardless if someone is vaccinated or not. So students and faculty would still need to wear the mask and would still need to maintain 3 to 6 feet apart. 

I also believe that right now the school board is doing an amazing job on making sure that these kids that are in close contact and everything is taken care of correctly and effectively. I also believe that the school board is taking this very seriously they have the cafeteria to where they have boards and plexiglass between each student each student is apart from one another and if they can make more space more spaces made to move the students to where they are not close to each other at all. 

I am totally opposed to schools giving out a vaccine to my child.  I will pull said child before I allow this to happen.  No where in the constitution does it allow for a school to file out vaccines.  It does protect our right to choice, which no governing body may impose by mandate.  Emergency or not.  

What is wrong with you people? To force mandate an Emergency Use Authorization that’s not even approved by the FDA except for cormidity and that’s not even available in the USA.  Have you even heard of the Nuremberg  code? First and foremost, don’t you think we should see what happens during the Trial phase before you try and force your opinion on others? Vaers reports over 15,000 deaths from the Jab and they only report 10 percent.. The PCR tests don’t work and have either been recalled or no longer using because they do not differentiate between Covid and the flu.  Makes you wonder if there is even a deadly virus out there.. And according to the CDC children have a 99.99875 percent chance of survival. Makes me wonder why you are pushing a dangerous vaccine that is causing illness and death on our most amazing teachers, staff and students.  As for not even accepting a religious exemption, SHAME ON YOU!  We do NOT get our rights or religious freedoms from you, We get them from GOD!  Maybe you should ready the constitution, the Declaration of Independence, The Bill of Rights, (Article 1, section 16) and the Constitution of Virginia.  Everyone should be entitled to make their own decisions free of coercion and with having informed consent.  It is LAW!

No vaccine mandates!  You cannot and should not force anyone to make any medical or health decisions against their wishes.  To force anyone, much less our teachers and students to get this shot is apprehensible when it has been stipulated schools have never been shown to be a place where this virus travels around.  Adding to this is the fact that children have been shown to be the most asymptomatic and not spreaders of this virus.  This virus is less than 1% fatal - it is not a pandemic but instead is being used to scare people, a political maneuver. I strongly oppose this petition and vaccine mandates which violate the Constitution of the United States, which upholds that all Americans are free to pursue liberty and happiness, and they have a freedom to practice their religion. To not allow religious exemptions is not only abhorrent, but unconstitutional and could be easily fought in court. This mandate would only cause division and wasted resources for the state of Virginia and her citizens

The data showing efficacy of the vaccines is still being developed, and there is a strong case for natural immunity being just as, if not more, protective than the vaccines available. There is no logic to this petition, it has been written and requested out of emotional discord. There is no data presented with this petition to support it's request. I strongly oppose this petition.

Vaccines are great!  But let’s let people make the best medical decisions for themselves and their children.

The individuals pushing this vaccine have not agreed to accept liability for vaccine reactions. We do not know the long term effects. Covid-19 has a 99% survival rate. We should not be destroying our economy anymore by losing good employees that simply do not want to be vaccinated.

Why is there even a consideration for a vaccine mandate when 105 hospitals in Virginia are reporting that only 11.24% of inpatient beds are being utilized for Covid patients?  This is an over reach in so many ways.  The only vaccine to get approval is Comirnaty.  The Pfizer Bio-N Tech is still under emergency use.  Please show me where Comirnaty is available?  You can't because it is not available.  So, what you are suggesting is mandating a vaccine that is not even approved yet.  There are over 15,000 deaths reported on VAERS at this time.  Are you willing to put your name on a mandate that has a great probability of doing harm to our teachers and children?  You will be considered complicit of any deaths or adverse reactions.

Vaccine mandates are a violation of our rights. No vaccine is proven to be 100% effective. With every vaccine there is a risk of injury. There isn't currently a study proving vaccines do not cause an increase in childhood cancer, there is no study showing that vaccinated children are in fact more healthy than unvaccinated. Every private study I have researched has shown the opposite. Unvaccinated children are more healthy. It should be freedom of choice. We should have medical freedom. If parents are afraid for their kids they should keep them home and not punish the ones that are thinking logically. The covid virus rarely has life threatening effects on children. If adults want to get a vaccine and then doubt the effectiveness.... they should be the ones to not be allowed in school.

I fully oppose any vaccine mandate. Parents should never be forced to take a risk of injuring their child just to have an education. Maybe consider telling those that are vaccinated and still afraid of the virus to look into homeschooling. I also support removing the face mask for those that choose to not wear one.

I oppose mandatory vaccines for school or work.

I am against mandating anything including all vaccines, any gene therapy technology, masks, social distancing, testing, and anything that violates someone’s personal freedoms and choices. This is all about control not science. Our “leading health experts” are playing politics and not allowing REAL science to be done. Medical freedom is a thing and should be recognized and respected. 

Our family is open to proper masking and other mitigation but we do not support a mandatory Covid Vaccine for students, staff and etc. 

Medical decisions are between a patient and their health care provider. Mandating this experimental gene therapy, with no long term studies on side effects, is the epitome of crimes against humanity. There is proof that myocarditis is showing up in young men, there are thousands of side effects and deaths being reported in VAERS, there is a 12 year old child who is now in a wheelchair due to the gene therapy. No one can be held liable for injuries and those who are suffering are not getting help!  Using coercion to force someone to be used in a medical experiment does not allow for informed consent, is unethical and in violation of the Nuremberg code and our Constitution. This virus is not a death sentence for the majority of the people and certainly not for children. Instituting these mandates would show a complete disregard for individual rights and would make VDH and the state complicit in intentional harm to the citizens of Virginia. 

Medical decisions are personal and should never be mandated. And you are talking about mandates for children. That is only a decision for a parent. Get pharmaceutical companies that cannot be held accountable for the harm they cause out of our government and regulatory agencies. They should have no power to mandate anything we put in our bodies. This is unconstitutional and all those involved will eventually be held accountable by a court of law. 

This petition is based on the illusion that the unvaccinated are causing the disruptions in classroom learning. If you will do your OWN research and pay attention to the actual scientists around the world who are not captured by big pharma, you will learn that mass vaccination is what is driving these new variants. These vaccinations are leaky and do NOT stop the transmission of cv19. Matter of fact, vaccinated individuals can walk around with 250x the viral load in the nasal passages and feel fine, yet actually be a super spreader. This is EXPERIMENTAL. We should not be made to inject our children with an unknown to shield ourselves. Do Not ALLOW This. There is no reversing this unknown. Protect the children!

The notion that required vaccination under these conditions has any efficacy has yet to be proven on a consistent basis. According to the VEAR data bases the death toll is 15,000 and climbing which well exceeds FDA ethical guidelines by 1000% as the standard max is 150 deaths and an EAU is discontinued.  These Vaccines are an MRNA technology that has ever been used in proper human clinical trials.  We have no longitudinal studies on the possible effects this will have on people over time.  The  data presented from the scientist's in the 8 hour zoom call on Sept 17 2021 at 1 hour and 30 minutes from Israel's Ministry of health reported 85% double vaccinated population with a 4th wave among the highest in 21 months of the current variant 60% of the infected being vaccinated  people.  This shows  3 reasonable possibilities 1. viral resistance to the vaccine, 2. Mutations due to Advanced antibody dependency and complications from the spike protein duplication due to cyclical variant exposure or 3. The Vaccines have proven ineffective.  It's ludicrous to follow  the same path as Israel.   There are numerous cheap off brand therapeutics that have meta analysis peer reviewed data and have existed for well over 30 to 40+ years that work at treating Covid.  Ivermectin, or HCQ combined with Zinc, Vitamin D Vitamin C and in some cases Budesine as well.  This data correlates with India,  the UK and the US.  The supporting Doctors to name a few are Dr. Robert Malone, (Inventor of the MRNA technology) Dr. Peter McCullough, Dr. Vladamire Zelinko, Dr. Bryan Tyson, Dr George Fureed, Dr. Sherry Tenpenny of  Ohio, Dr Tess Lori of the UK and her meta analysis of successes with Ivermectin and roughly 1,000 more Doctors world wide who support therapeutics over these current vaccines.    The survival rate for those under 70 is 99.81% as an average for the Alpha variant, it is known by virologist's that each variant becomes weaker, unless that variant is mutating due to these current vaccines and the spike protein created by the  Gene therapy/ vaccines .      Forcing this issue in my opinion now is becoming a crime against humanity and the lack transparency on these issues will not be tolerated any longer and will be continued to be addressed and called out.  This is not reasonable sound medical practice, this is fear and control based not supported by any credible scientific method's at this point.   This furthermore is nothing more than a repeat of 1987 and the use of AZT for the treatment Aids and HIV that later proved the drug AZT was causing renal failure and destruction of white blood cells causing a 32% mortality rate in the patient.  It was also discovered that AZT was the cause of AIDS in many of the patients.     The notion of heard immunity through vaccination is a  compete antithesis to virology as heard immunity is established through natural occurrence  not through mass vaccination.   The proposal to force vaccinate is unreasonable and no one should comply at this point for everything I just stated.  My statement only scratches the surface in terms of collected data on this issue.   

Everyone has the God Given Right to chose what is best for their own, personal body.  No person has the right to tell someone else what to do with their body!

Where there is risk, there must be choice.

We all have the freedom of choice we don’t need anyone to tell us what we need or don’t need.  Everyone is capable of making their own choices.  That’s why we have freedom in this country! God given freedoms to breath then fresh air of liberty endowed by our creator and founders! 

Vaccines are not "one size fits all" 

Vaccines may be safe or may pose high risk side effects, to include death.  Short-term and long-term effects are unknown. 

Vaccine manufacturers are not liable if humans are harmed.  

Vaccine manufacturers do not fully disclose vaccine's ingredients due to Proprietary Information. Without this information, people do not know if there are harmful ingredients that can cause allergic reactions, organ malfunction, neurological damage or other bodily harm to include death. 

In some cases, Doctors are unable to help patients that are harmed by vaccines - do not know potential treatments on how to heal. 

Families of those harmed by vaccines are stuck with the medical bills; the insurance dries up, and in some cases, they end up financially bankrupt.

It takes eons to get through the U.S. Court of Federal Claims (vaccine courts). Red Tape, corruption, and politics contributes to this. 

New bio technologies raise ethical questions with products that are not publicly addressed.

And finally, humans are not medical guinea pigs. We do not consent to DNA Rape.

Re:  Covid-19 Experimental Vaccine Candidates 

Any compulsory Covid-19 vaccination requirement is a violation of federal law.  I urge you to advise all employees and students that they have the right to refuse or to take any COVID-19 vaccine. Any other action is contrary to federal law. 

Covid-19 Vaccines are Experimental.  

Covid-19 vaccines are not approved by the FDA.  The Covid-19 vaccines are only approved under an Emergency Use Authorization, for investigational use only.¹  Covid19 vaccines lack requisite studies and are not approved medical treatment. The FDA’s guidance on emergency use authorization of medical products requires the FDA to “ensure that recipients are informed to the extent practicable given the applicable circumstances … That they have the option to accept or refuse the EUA product …”²   

Title 21, Section 360bbb-3 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the “FD&C Act”) vests the Secretary of Health and Human Services with the permissive authority to grant Emergency Use Authorizations (“EUAs”) providing that appropriate conditions designed to ensure that individuals to whom the product is administered are informed: 

1. that the Secretary has authorized the emergency use of the product; 

2. of the significant known and potential benefits and risks of such use, and of the extent to which such benefits and risks are unknown; and  

3. of the option to accept or refuse administration of the product, of the consequences, if any, of refusing administration of the product, and of the alternatives to the product that are available and of their benefits and risks. ¹  

The right to avoid the imposition of human experimentation is fundamental, rooted in the Nuremberg Code of 1947, has been ratified by the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki, and further codified in the United States Code of Federal Regulations. In addition to the United States regarding itself as bound by these provisions, these principles were adopted by the FDA in its regulations requiring the informed consent of human subjects for medical research. It is unlawful to conduct medical research, even in the case of an emergency, unless steps are taken to secure informed consent of all participants.³  

The following Emergency Use Authorizations have been issued for Covid-19 vaccinations: 

12/11/20 Moderna - FDA issued an EUA for emergency use of the Moderna mRNA COVID-19 vaccine for recipients 16 years of age or older.  

12/18/20 Pfizer/BioNTech - FDA issued an EUA for emergency use of the Pfizer/BioNTech mRNA vaccine for recipients 18 years of age or older.  

2/27/21 Johnson & Johnson - FDA issued an EUA for emergency use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine (aka Janssen vaccine) for recipients 18 years of age or older. 

Each of the above EUAs was issued in conjunction with a similar Fact Sheet from the FDA. For example, the Janssen fact sheet contains the following notice:  

“INFORMATION TO PROVIDE TO VACCINE RECIPIENTS/CAREGIVERS”   

As the vaccination provider, you must communicate to the recipient or their caregiver, information consistent with the “Fact Sheet for Recipients and Caregivers” (and provide a copy or direct the individual to the website to obtain the Fact Sheet) prior to the individual receiving the Janssen Covid-19 Vaccine, including:  

• FDA has authorized the emergency use of the Janssen Covid-19 Vaccine, which is not an FDA approved vaccine.  
• The recipient or their caregiver has the option to accept or refuse the Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine.   
• The significant known and potential risks and benefits of the Janssen Covid-19 Vaccine, and the extent to which such risks and benefits are unknown.⁴ 

Clearly, any attempt to force anyone to take a Covid-19 vaccine is a violation of federal law and the conditions under which the Covid-19 vaccine has been authorized for use.  The law is clear, experimental medical treatment cannot be mandated. 

Businesses are not shielded from liability with experimental agents.   

Under the 2005 PREP Act enacted by Congress, pharmaceutical companies that manufacture EUA vaccines are shielded from liability related to injuries and damages caused by their experimental agents.  However, any employer, public school, or any other entity or person who mandates experimental vaccines on any human being is not protected from liability for any resulting harm.  While vaccine manufacturers may be shielded from liability, your institution is not protected, and neither are you.⁵ 

I urge the School Board of Health to comply with the FD&C Act and the terms of the EUA and its accompanying Fact Sheet, and to advise all employees of their right to accept or refuse any Covid-19 vaccine. Any other course of action is contrary to federal law.

Vote not for any vaccine for covid19 or any mandate or be certain to be voted out!

Please do not mandate vaccines or masks for anybody for any reason.

For myself personally, I struggle to wear a mask because I am too honest. When I wear a mask I feel like I’m lying to myself and those around me. This makes me very uncomfortable and I feel Ike the devil is on my face when I wear a mask. Since the start of this whole pandemic I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve worn a mask and I just feel so wrong wearing one. I’d rather be a martyr than a liar and I call on all the saints of heaven to give my brethren the courage to face those who channel satan when they choose to enforce mandates over the will of their neighbor. I will love those who persecute me to the best of my abilities. Such a love is supernatural and only possible by God’s grace alone. 

COVID is so small it stays in the air suspended for 5 days plus. A hair can fit around your mask and a hair is 1000 times larger than a virus particular. A mask raises your level of CO2 and preserves germs close to the face. A mask erodes the dignity of the subject who wears one, especially when forced. Masks do harm and offer no protection against COVID. 

finally, for the vaccine, it scares me and I don’t want it. I shouldn’t have to explain myself, the simple answer that I say NO, that should be enough. No means no. Why force inject someone? Why withhold service conditional of injection? It is all wrong. Why segregate people by status? What happened to civil rights and MLK? Why did the Virginia department of health make every citizens vacation status a public record? Stop. Please stop. This division is completely unethical and wrong and I’m sad to see how my fellow Americans can hate each other. Hate is not the answer. Love is the way.

I am sending you this notice, related to the State Board of Health’s mask policy. My findings raise significant concerns, both medically and legally, of the current mask policy in place.  Masks are ineffective for the purpose claimed by the mandate, potentially harmful, and only authorized for use by an EUA. 

Masks are ineffective and in many ways they harm.

It’s a myth that masks prevent viruses from spreading.  The overall evidence is clear:  Standard cloth and surgical masks offer next to no protection against virus-sized particles or small aerosols.¹  The size of a virus particle is much too small to be stopped by a surgical mask, cloth or bandana.  A single virion of SARS-CoV-2 is about 60-140 nanometers or 0.1 microns.²  The pore size in a surgical mask is 200-1000x that size.  Consider that the CDC website states, “surgical masks do not catch all harmful particles in smoke.”  And that the size of smoke particles in a wildfire are ~0.5 microns which is 5x the size of the SARS-CoV-2 virus!  Wearing a mask to prevent catching SARS-CoV-2, or similarly sized influenza, is like throwing sand at a chain-link fence: it doesn’t work.  There has been one large randomized controlled trial that specifically examined whether masks protect their wearers from the coronavirus.  This study found mask wearing “did not reduce, at conventional levels of statistical significance, the incidence of Sars-Cov-2-infection.”³   

Consider also, that the existence of more particles does not mean more virus. Research shows less virus does not mean less illness. Dr. Kevin Fennelly, a pulmonologist at the National Heart, Lung and Blood institute debunked the view that larger droplets are responsible for viral transmission. 

Fennelly wrote:

“current infection control policies are based on the premise that most respiratory infections are transmitted by large respiratory droplets- i.e., larger than 5 [microns] – produced by coughing and sneezing, …Unfortunately, that premise is wrong.”⁴

Fennelly referenced a 1953 paper on anthrax that showed a single bacterial spore of about one micron was significantly more lethal than larger clumps of spores.⁵  Exposure to one virus particle is theoretically enough to cause infection and subsequent disease.  This is not an alarming thought - it simply means what it has always meant, that our immune system protects us continually all our life.⁶

There have been hundreds of mask studies related to influenza transmission done over several decades.  It is a well-established fact that masks do not stop viruses.  “Part of that evidence shows that cloth facemasks actually increase influenza-linked illness.”⁷  Bacteria are 50x larger than virus particles.⁸  As such, virus particles can enter through the mask pores, yet bacteria remain trapped inside of the mask, resulting in the mask-wearer continually exposed to the bacteria. 

Related to the 1918-1919 influenza pandemic, there was almost universal agreement among experts, that deaths were virtually never caused by the influenza virus itself but resulted directly from severe secondary pneumonia caused by well-known bacterial “pneumopathogens” that colonized the upper respiratory tract.⁹  Dr. Fauci and his National Institute of Health studied pandemics and epidemics and concluded, “the vast majority of influenza deaths resulted from secondary bacterial pneumonia.”¹⁰

All parties mandating the use of facemasks are not only willfully ignoring established science but are engaging in what amounts to a clinical experimental trial.  This conclusion is reached by the fact that facemask use and Covid-19 incidence are being reported in scientific opinion pieces promoted by the CDC and others.¹¹   The fact is after reviewing ALL of the studies worldwide, the CDC found “no reduction in viral transmission with the use of face masks.”¹²  

Any intervention, especially one that is prophylactic, must cause fewer harms to the recipient than the infection.  The cost-benefit of mandating an investigational face-covering with emerging safety issues is especially difficult to justify.  Anthony Fauci was very clear that asymptomatic transmission was not a threat.   He stated, “in all the history of respiratory-borne viruses of any type, asymptomatic transmission has never been the driver of outbreaks.  The driver of outbreaks is always a symptomatic person.”¹³

Wearing respirators come(s) with a host of physiological and psychological burdens.  These can interfere with task performances and reduce work efficiency.  These burdens can even be severe enough to cause life-threatening conditions if not ameliorated.¹⁴  Fifteen years ago, National Taiwan University Hospital concluded that the use of N-95 masks in healthcare workers caused them to experience hypoxemia, a low level of oxygen in the blood, and hypercapnia, an elevation in the blood's carbon dioxide levels.¹⁵  Studies of simple surgical masks found significant reductions in blood oxygen as well.  In one particular study, researchers measured blood oxygenation before and after surgeries in 53 surgeons.  Researchers found the mask reduced the blood oxygen levels significantly, and the longer the duration of wearing the mask, the greater the drop in blood oxygen levels.¹⁶

Moreover, people with cancer will be at a further risk from hypoxia, as cancer cells grow best in a bodily environment that is low in oxygen.  Low oxygen also promotes systemic inflammation which, in turn, promotes “the growth, invasion and spread of cancers.”¹⁷   Repeated episodes of low oxygen, known as intermittent hypoxia, also “causes atherosclerosis” and hence increases “all cardiovascular events” such as heart attacks, as well as adverse cerebral events like stroke.¹⁸  

Informed consent is required for investigational medical therapies. 

Regardless of the lack of safety and efficacy behind the decision to require employees and students to wear a mask, it is illegal to mandate EUA approved investigational medical therapies without informed consent. Mask use for viral transmission prevention is authorized for Emergency Use only.¹⁹  Emergency Use Authorization by the FDA, means “the products are investigational and experimental” only.²⁰  The statute granting the FDA the power to authorize a medical product of emergency use requires that the person being administered the unapproved product be advised of his or her right to refuse administration of the product.²¹  This statute further recognizes the wellsettled doctrine that medical experiments, or “clinical research,” may not be performed on human subjects without the express, informed consent of the individual receiving treatment.²² 

The right to avoid the imposition of human experimentation is fundamental, rooted in the Nuremberg Code of 1947, has been ratified by the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki, and further codified in the United States Code of Federal Regulations. In addition to the Unites States regarding itself as bound by these provisions, these principles were adopted by the FDA in its regulations requiring the informed consent of human subjects for medical research.²³  The law is very clear; It is unlawful to conduct medical research (even in the case of emergency), unless steps taken to … secure informed consent of all participants.²⁴ 

Furthermore, by requiring employees and students to wear a mask, you are promoting the idea that the mask can prevent or treat a disease, which is an illegal deceptive practice.  It is unlawful to advertise that a product or service can prevent…disease unless you possess competent and reliable scientific evidence… substantiating that the claims are true.²⁵ 

The FDA EUA for surgical and/or cloth masks explicitly states, “the labeling must not state or imply… that the [mask] is intended for antimicrobial or antiviral protection or related, or for use such as infection prevention or reduction.”²⁶  As you can see from the image below, masks do not claim to keep out viruses.
