It is my understanding that the governor, in combination with the atorney general of the Commonwealth of Virginia, have decided that Virginia will no longer recognize out of state concealed carry licenses. I actually take that quite personally, because I am-and have been for nearly 20 years-licensed to carry a concealed firearm. I chose to do so because I take my family's, and my safety very seriously. However, it is obvious that these do not look at my family's security in the same manner. In fact is evident that they actually have the opinion that we (my family as well as thousands of others) should not have the right to self defense.
I can live with that, because I don't have to visit their state. We usually take two vacations a year, and the Mid-Atlantic area had been one of our considerations for the fall. But, be confident Mr. McAuliffe, we will spend our money elsewhere.
I recall ads in the 70's when the Tourism agency was trying to attract visitors and used the slogan: "Virginia is for Lovers". I presume that there are still some lovers there, but it seems that the Bloomberg sycophants are now the majority.
