I reject this amendment because tachers are more than capable of deciding on appropriate content material in teaching their classes. As students, the literature we read as students are mature and appropriate for the class setting and for basically any part of life. If they deal with any violent or sexual themes, they are not filled with them for arbitrary reasons. These mature themes actually serve to bolster the impact of a novel and teachers realize this and purposefully base their lessons around meaningful books. By taking away the teacher's ability to choose how they instruct their students, teachers will subsequently lose the ability to provide effective instruction.
