|Action||Promulgation of new regulation banning concealed firearms in executive branch agency offices|

This regulations should not be approved and the emergency regulation should be withdrawn. All but two of the public massacres since 1950 have been committed in “gun-free zones,” which is exactly what this regulation creates
I can think of only one substantial thing this ban will accomplish -- creating more "Worry Free Kill Zones" devoid of citizens able to defend themselves will increase the number and deadliness of attacks by criminals, terrorists, and deranged individuals to provide more fodder for the liberal press and anti-freedom politicians to justify nation-wide gun confiscation and thus leave the citizenry unable to defend this country from a tyranny within. No longer will the ruling elite have to worry about being (or even appearing to be) a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
This proposed regulation is a false-solution for which there is no problem. It endangers state employees, law abiding citizens, and the innocent by making state buildings a safe zone for terrorists, criminals, and the criminally insane to conduct their evil and savage actions.
This proposed regulation will have the opposite of the intended affect by playing into the hands of terrorists, violent criminals, and the criminally insane. We have had no shootings in state agencies and this prohibition on those with a concealed handgun permit, some of whom have active and ongoing threats to their lives, is entirely without any justification and needlessly and recklessly endangers innocent lives.
* Bans in rest stops send a very uninviting message to, and endanger the lives of, interstate travelers
* If parking lots are included in the ban, then citizens will be disarmed to and from their residences and everywhere in between.
Importantly the Governor has no authority for this regulation. If the General Assembly wanted the Governor to have such power, they would have granted it to him explicitly, as is required constitutionally. Unfortunately, our govenor feels he must repay his political (i.e.financial) debt to Mr. Michael R. Bloomberg.

Once disarmed and without any means to defends our lives and freedoms we will no longer be able to live up to the motto of this great Commonwealth -- Sic semper tyrannis!!!
