I oppose adopting the use of hybrid appraisals for banking purposes. As an appraiser for almost 20 years I first hand witnessed the crash of the real estate market due to mismanagement in the lending industry. The development of hybrid appraisals is another bad idea being cooked in the backroom that eliminates a good firewall of safety. Do not send anyone other than a trained professional appraiser to inspect the home inside and out and the market area. To save a few dollars and shave off a little time its not worth trying to fix something that already works very good and is time tested. Our real estate industry is strong again, lets keep it that way.
