I OPPOSE this legislation. Laws like this one do not remedy the problem of violent crime. Many people on TV and the internet complain that legal ownership and carry of guns by law abiding citizens should be banned, and that would somehow make the USA much safer. I disagree with this idea. Many illegal substances such as heroin and cocaine are criminally brought into this country every day. Criminals can easily import guns with their illegal drugs, and they do. The US government has never been able to stop the illegal drug trade. Laws against law abiding Americans posessing and carrying guns to defend themselves do nothing to prevent crime, or violence.

Laws like this one have only one goal. That goal is to crush the Freedom and Liberty of the American people.

America has been a free country because of the right of the individual American Citizen to vote, express His opinion, and defend Himself. Foreign governments understand very well the ability of an armed scociety to defend itself against tyrannical political oppression, and  from external sources.

Let's focus our political will and resources on laws and programs that will go after the Criminal element of scociety. Why do so many democrats want to attack Law Abiding Citizens? Why not attack the criminals instead? Drug dealers, strong arm robbers, home invasionists, rapists, murderers, why are you democrats not bringing more laws and resources to bear against these people? What about the co-ordinated killing of police officers by gangsters?  Why are you not putting more resources out to protect the police?  When a gangster kills a policeman in an ambush, that is first degree murder.

Criminals attack the weakest people in a scociety, those who are the least able to defend themselves, Criminal activities like " The Knock Out Game" where street thugs kill or seriously injure an old person by trying to knock them out with one punch. Where is a new law to protect people frome something like that? Why no media coverage?  Where is the outrage?. . No?   It is so much easier to go after the law abiding citizen isnt it? Just like the Criminal element, some people in our government want to create more laws against law abiding citizens , because they know that older people have less fight in them.  

The law abiding citizen needs the " right to bear arms " just as much now as when the USA was founded, for all of the same reasons.
