I strongly Oppose a permanent ban on CHP carry in State Agency Buildings

I strongly oppose Gov. McCauliff's emergency ban on carry in State Agency Buildings, especially the inclusion of CHP holders.  As a group, both in Virginia and nationally, CHP holders are consistenly the most law-abiding groups, with a lower percentage of crimes committed than even law enforcement.  Since 1960 all but 2 mass shootings have taken place in gun free zones, which this regulation creates.  Finally, as a state employee I feel like I have been designated a "Target" for criminals and terrorists because on every door entering my building there are "No Guns" signs, informing anyone intent on criminal activity that they will meet NO resistance at all in this building.

Sincerely,

Brian G. Wright
