I am strongly opposed to the proposed regulation, and request that a public hearing be held.

This regulation is another in a series of political ploys to strip Virginia citizens of their constitutional right to provide for their own defense. The intended affect of this regulation will not be achieved, and will likely result in the opposite. This regulation will provide the opportunity for those who might do others' harm by creating another "gun free zone" for terrorists and other criminals to exploit.

Please extend the comment period an additional 30 days to allow ample time for those potentially impacted by this regulation to respond.
