The Notice of Intended Regula tory Action published in the Vi rginia Register of Regulations on December 14, 2015, concer ning the prohibition of carryin g concealed handguns in Exec utive Branch offices states that a Public Hearing will NOT be h eld at the proposed regulation stage. I request that a Public Hearing be held during the proposed r egulation stage for the intende d regulations prohibiting carry ing concealed handguns in Exe cutive Branch offices. Given th e state-wide impact, I request that public hearings be schedu led throughout the Commonw ealth to allow all to comment without excessive travel cost.
