This further endangers my safety.

This proprosed regulartion makes it more dangerous, not safer for good citizens.  By disarming law abiding citizens you make it easier for law breakers.  Someone who wishes to engage in a crime isn't going to change their plans due to seeing a "No guns allowed" sign, these are the types of places they seek out.  This regulartion should not be approved and the emergency regulation should be withdrawn.  I often travel alone and banning guns in rest stops makes me even more uncomfrotable with the idea having to stop at a rest stop.  The cost of security for protecting citizens at the places that guns would be banned is cost prohibitive.
