Why? Why is this policy needed other than for our Governor and Attorney General to payback their patron(s) who gave so much in political campaign cash? I have lived in Virginia for 15 years and never have I herard of an incident involving a firearm in a VA Government office. Ooops... strike that. There was ONE incident where a State Contracted Security Guard attempted to intimidate, by means of a gun on his hip, a client in a DMV office. Unfortunately for said Security Guard, A) the gun that he was carrying was a BB gun. And B), the man that he was attempting to intimidate for LAWFULLY open carrying a handgun was a FEDERAL POLICE OFFICER!!! C) the Security Guard was not Registered nor Certified to carry a firearm on duty as a Security Officer! He was only Registered as an UNARMED Security Guard!

Time and time again, we see that it is the "State", NOT the people who are the unlawful aggressors when it comes to the use or mis-use of firearms.

Time and time again, FBI statistics and news reports show how a LAWFULLY carrying Citizen has either stopped, or prohibited mass shootings.

Disarming Law Abiding Citizens does nothing more than create a safer work environment FOR THE CRIMINALS! Unless you believe Nancy Pelosi and Barbara Boxer who say that by taking the guns from law abiding citizens that teh criminals will see no need for guns either and turn themselves in. Really???!!!

Govenor McAuliffe'sd actions are contrary to the Commonwealth's Constitution as well as Public Safety.
