I know someone that was convicted of murder at a rest stop

It is interesting to note that the ban on carrying handguns in state buildings includes state rest stops. The ban would not have had any impact on a poor soul at the Dale City rest stop several years ago. It just so happens that someone I knew and my wife worked with was the father of a knucklehead that was involved in a robbery attempt at the Dale City rest stop. Late one evening Mr bagget and friends went to the rest stop. One of the car occupants went into the mens room, kicked open the door of one of the stalls, and murdered the poor soul doing his duty. This is the kind of violence our governor is bringing to us. The guy that murdered this poor soul would not have given one wit about mcaullifes gun ban...not one wit. He clearly ignored the laws banning murder. And neither will the next killer.
