These Illegal Bans Must Stop

Governor,

I ask you this, how many shootings and acts of malicious intent on to innocent bystanders occur in areas where firearms are permitted? The numbers don’t lie, Sir, more people have legally applied and obtained their concealed carry permits over the past 8 years and yet the number of gun related crimes has decreased. So please explain to the people of Virginia how the 2nd amendment to the constitution of the United States of America (also in the Commonwealths constitution) is posing a threat to the livelihood of its citizens. When will this political game be over, it seems so easy for someone in your position who’s loved ones are protected around the clock by men and women carrying firearms to try and take away this same right from the people.

The illegal acts by both you and the Attorney General are a prime example of the reason the right to bear arms was added to the Constitution by our founding fathers, to protect the people from government tyranny. These “Gun Bans” are ridiculous and illegal, please know that the law abiding citizens of the commonwealth will do everything in their power to stop this abuse of power by our elected officials.
