Interferring with a citizen's right to carry a weapon for self defense is not common sense.  Gun free zones are dangerous to everyone in the zone other than the criminal that doesn't care about the law anyway.  The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun.  Your plan is excessively restrictive and dangerous to me and other honest citizens.
