Gun free zones and character

The second amendments still exists and the courts have adjudicated the militia issue.  The 2nd does not limit where, when, nor describe the "arms" that can be carried or how they are carried (concealed/open/loaded/unloaded).  The founders would have added words if they wanted those limits.  Back in the day "arms" included cannon.  I do not believe everyone (felons, nut cases, terrorists, untrained. i.e) should have the right to bear arms everywhere (courts, jails, places where others assume responsibility for my safety) and I have no problem with mandatory demonstration of reasonable competence to carry. I do question the character of those that take an oath to support the constitution and then make every attempt to circumvent 2nd amendments rights. The founders realized that a government would eventually over reach and used the 2nd as a limit on oppression.  Rather than shoot the "no guns" politicians/government enforcement agents (also have cops for friends), I use the 2ND as one litmus test for my vote, "gun free" zones become a guide as where to spend my money and who I donate to (NRA, like minded politicians).
