History has shown that prohibition has always resulted in failure. The creation of gun-free zones has only created target rich environments for murderers to do so unchallenged. All but a few mass killing incidents in the past decades have occurred in these gun-free zones. To create more is irresponsible and a direct threat to the safety of Virginia's citizens. I strongly believe that I am not alone in my beliefs regarding civilian disarmament. I'd like to ask that the comment period be extended in order for more citizens to make their voices heard.
