Government buildings are targets of terrorism, why make it easier for terrorists to succeed?

This proposed regulation will have the opposite of the intended affect by helping terrorists (domestic & foreign) possibly commit violent crimes on and/or around our state buildings. I would like to point out that we have not had any shooting in any state agencies to date. This proposed legislation would put our citizens and the state's very own employees at a greater risk to become victims of yet another shooting. Disarming good, law abiding citizens does not make them any safer. Additionally, the Governor has no authority for the regulation, only the legislative branches have this power. This proposed regulation is a solution for which there is no problem. It endangers Virginia citizens by making "safe zones" for terrorist to attack. These regulations should not be approved and the emergency regulation withdrawn. Please extend the comment period for another 30 days.
