Consumer directed services have given our family freedom of choice to who will provide care for our child with  multiple disabilities and medical needs, as it is impossible to find anyone else to meet those needs with such a low pay. To change from Consumer-Directed services to Agency-Directed services would add nothing but extra burden and stress for caregivers, as well as decrease the choice of freedom for Individuals with disabilities like our child who have a right to self-directed services as well as to appropriate services in his home and community to live fulfilling live. Please do not make those changes instead continue to allow parents to be paid caregivers.
