Doesn’t reduce carbon

This program doesn’t really encourage carbon reduction. It’s just a shell game sharing the prize among the power companies. If a company is over its limit it buys “credits” to get a pass and passes on that cost to the consumer. The company doesn’t reduce carbon or shoulder the cost for it. To distract the public from this fact and increased cost for power the states take that money and pledge it toward feel good projects. As with most government projects the funds filter through several hands before reaching the project at a very reduced amount. Look at who is pushing to keep this scheme and how they are benefiting financially. Yes, follow the money. They tried to push this carbon scheme in the early 2000’s and it was exposed then. Do a little historical research and dissect the actual makeup of this program, I believe you will discover why this is useless and needs to be shut down.
