My son is taking AP Lit this year and asked "Why do I have to read such disgusting material that makes me discouraged and depressed.  Is there anything literaturally worthwhile that doesn't demoralize society and undermine our constitutional rights to not have to read crap?"  That's from a 17 year old at Lake Braddock.  Please offer choice students and warnings to parents.
