The abortion surgery centers are just that, surgery centers and they should have to maintain their standards of sanitation the same as any surgery clinic. An abortion is an invasive procedure which could harm a woman. They also need to have admitting privileges at a local hospital in case their is a life threatening problem. I had a foot surgery at an outpatient surgery center and ended up with a severe infection that was so severe that I could have lost my foot. It took 3 months to heal, with a nurse coming to my home 3x a week and a weekly visit to a special infectious wound clinic at a hospital. Aileen Velthuis
