As a parent of two children that went to school in Fairfax County Public Schools, at times I was appalled at some of the literature choices that were handed down to my children to read and write about.  There are movie ratings that prevent children at different ages from being exposed to PG13 or R rated movies, which I agree with.  However, some of the literature that my children were forced to read and write papers about, included subjects that would be R rated.  Children need to be protected from certain things until they are 18.  Please protect our children , at least as well as the movie regulatory folks!
