Vaccine review

Things to consider upon review of the current VA childhood schedule for immunization in my opinion:

Our family was ousted from our Pediatric Practice for wanting to space out my child's shots. This is happening all over northern VA and Drs are refusing care in their practice if you don't follow the schedule to a tee. Those of us that chose to vaccinate but want to spread them out a bit are still bullied by Drs. This is unethical. This one size fits all mentality defies bioindividuality. My child ended up in the ER with an asthma attack 4 days after a booster. I should be able to discuss this with my child and have an individualized plan with our Dr going forward. This did not happen and we were pushed to continue.

  1. Religious exemptions need to continue to be protected in the state of VA when it comes to this issue.
  2. Informed consent needs to be a precedent set
  3. Medical exemptions need to be protected against attacks on the Drs issuing them for their patients
  4. Home Schooled children should not be required to meet school standards for immunization.
  5. The C-19 shot should not be made mandatory to attend school for children under 18.
