Somethings should not be so explicted in books.

I am a parent of a 6th grader.  As a parent I would hope that the books that the teachers have in their classrooms are guaged for the childrens age and maturity.  Sexual items are always going to be a sensitive note for most parents.  What one reads, one recalls and thinks about., Thoughs unharrnessed do lonts of damage, not only to the person, but to family, and frients.   I do believe TV and Cable have cornered the market for crude and sexually depicted scenes.  I do not see the benfiet for children to read such things.  One also has to look at the time the book was written.  Some of the olders books have a differnt generation and culture settings.  I think books need to be prehaps coded to which age groups it would be best for.. I also believe that some books should not even be in a school setting. There are many good books that can be substitued for other rank ones.
