This attendant does not need the income.  Who needs that small income?  It is not much, and most attendants have other resources that enable them to provide this type of care.  It certainly does not compare to a career income.  I keep telling this person it isn't worth the hassle nor the risk of being accused of fraud due to EVV.  Their answer, "they made a promise".   Sometimes I can get his person to agree with me and admit quitting would be healthier b/c of all the stress EVV has brought to our lives, but they continue to say it is about helping someone and keeping a promise.  How convenient for the state to take advantage of those kind and giving souls that would say that.  We have literally come to tears over this choice.  Someday, I am going to get this attendant to quit, turn over the person with a disability to the state, and find I have my friend healthy and happy again, because they will no longer feel threatened by EVV and state over fraud for trying to help another.  Thank you, Virginia, for making these kind souls feel like criminals and underappreciated.  The threats are going to drive the good ones away.  All Virginia will have left are the lawless willing to take the risk.  Virginia, you are at a crossroads; decisions made will affect many lives for years to come.
