As an EOR my husband and I have two children on the waiver. Finding qualified help for $9.40 an hour is beyond difficult, especially if you live in a more rural area. The attendants that we do have have yet to be paid in full for their work!!! Numerous calls and emails to CDCN have gone unanswered. My VA Premier SF acknowledged that MOST people have not been paid in full yet and that there are so many issues with EVV that prevent it from working correctly. We’ve had so many problems with the whole transition and now our attendants aren’t getting paid correctly???!!! Most quit the job... many hours go unworked now. I guess that was DMAS' plan all along so more people would get dumped in nursing homes to die. I can't imagine how many will day during the current crisis while nursing homes are left to abuse them without any outsiders to stop and protect them. EVV adds to this nightmare.
