The Problem with Wind Power

Wind power is known to create a hazard to avian wildlife.  The western ridgelines of Virginia are the migration path of the Eastern Golden Eagle - a small, threatened population of golden eagles, and the only known breeding population of golden eagles east of the Mississippi River.  Virginia's DGIF has already acknowledged this population as deserving of its highest protection.  Comments in the public record to the Rocky Forge project spell this problem out in detail and are available to you.  Virginia's plan should exclude wind power projects from the migration route of the Eastern Golden Eagle.
