As a Virginia law enforcement officer I oppose this legislation. Law enforcement as well as those who are legally able to carry should be allowed in state buildings.Virginia law enforcement goes under strict annual training and screening.there is no reason not to allow carry by a group that the public depends on to defend them everyday. Your average concealed carrier our law enforcement officer participate in a much our more training than the security guards you place in these buildings.
