Executive Order 50

I strongly support Executive Order 50 which bans firearms in executive branch agency offices.  I find it moronic that anyone would believe allowing firearms in a workplace are a good idea.  I base my position on: having served in Vietnam in the mid-1960s, served in senior civilian positions with the Department of Defense for over two decades, and served in private sector executive positions for over two decades.  Firearms of all types are designed specifically to kill.  Some are designed specifically for the military to kill large numbers of adversaries at a low cost per kill.  None of those performance objectives have a place in an office.  I cannot understand why politicians are complicit in the death of over 30,000 citizens annually.  That number is ten times the number of deaths during the September 11th attack, but unlike the horror of September 11th, the 30,000 deaths are an annual event.
