firearms ban in state buildings

There existed and does not exist now any emergency that would result in needing to ban firearms in state buildings. There have been NO shootings in said buildings, even the VaABC stores where robberies do happen. Banning guns would not help there because the people are already committing a crime, what is one more! What the ban does is force CCP holders to disarm and expose themselves to mugging and assault while going to and from these places. Just about every mass shooting has taken place in 'gun free zones', it didn't seem to stop the terrorists at all, it did make their selection of targets much easier.

Handguns in the hands of good citizens save lives by ending or preventing assaults, robberies, home invasions, attempted murders, but can only do this if we can have our weapons with us and not out in the car where they can be stolen.

End this idiotic attempt at gun control!
