Concealed Carry withdrawal of reciprocity and ban in State Buildings

RE: Concealed Carry withdrawal of reciprocity and ban in State Buildings

Your action terminating reciprocal concealed carry privileges for citizens of other states shows your callous disregard for the safety of Virginia citizens, citizens of other states and our right to defend ourselves.

Further, it is unlawful and beyond the scope of your office and you do not have governmental immunity from civil and criminal liability for such actions.

While you are protected by gun carrying state officers for whom we pay, you show that you care nothing for our self-protection.

This will also negate Virginia citizens’ privileges to carry concealed weapons in those states, thereby further depriving us of our right to defend ourselves.

You are conducting this arbitrary and capricious action against citizens who have taken the initiative to get their backgrounds checked, get training, and identify themselves to the government.  It will do nothing to the criminals who carry guns, as you well know but haven’t the integrity to admit.  You are increasing the likelihood of violence at the hands of those criminals.
