Let's See the Data

How many of these past mass shootings have taken place where firearms are banned and the shooter was ultimately stopped by a "good guy with a gun" be they police or legally armed citizen.  By creating more gun-free zones, the Commonwealth is creating more soft targets of opportunity for would-be shooters.  At least if open carry, concealed carry, or both are permitted in state buildings, this may give would-be shooters pause and deter them.  So -- to address the validity of the Governor's claim of making safer workplaces, I would ask how much gun violence has been perpetrated in state buildings by citizens legally carrying firearms.  Any?  If not, then what's the purpose of this EO?  Let's put the facts out there for the public to view and then decide if this EO indeed makes state workplaces safer or not.
