I cannot understand the reason behind banning firearms. Surely you can understand that this will not be heeded by criminals. Any one who wants a firearm will obtain one or (MORE) at their disgression quiet easily.  All laws banning firearms will only harm law abiding citizens.  Guns do not kiill people, Its the jerk behind the jerk that kills people. Ever since I was a child, my dad always had unsecured fire arms in our home, and I have yet to endanger any one.  I personally think that much of our problems now is parenting. As a child I knew right from wrong and I knew what I would get if I strayed.This day and time even when you go grocery shopping, you can see parents letting their kids throw God awful tantrums and the parent(s)  will  just say either nothing or say "don't do that, and the kid keeps screaming at the top of their lungs. I have reared my three children the same way as I was reared  and have not had any problems. Place the blamb where it belongs and not on law abiding citizens.
