Gun free zones require the State to provide security

Unless each of these executive locations is going to provide armed security for visitors, this policy needlessly endangers citizens by creating additional areas where citizens are prohibited from protecting themselves.  I have no problem with disarming before entering a security controlled State or Federal building because of the fact that all citizens (law abiding and not) are on equal footing.  Creation of gun-free areas that disarm law-abiding citizens without actually affecting criminals, and providing no additional security for law-abiding citizens is irresponsible.
