Banning of firewarms in state buildings is unthinkable!

Those of us *lawful* *American* *citizens* who enjoy our CCW daily to protect ourselves and our family are appauled that the governor is even contenplating such a ban, much less abuse his executive poowers to impose an infringment of my rights.

Having worked as a corrections officer for 7 years I *know* what kind of danger lurks around us, and from my work I often run into those who were detained...   *NOW* I must worry for my safety at these public buildings, in which previously it was not prohibited?

I understand the concern for the shooting of the WDBJ reporters, but to even try and use that as an excuse is lame and weak at best... banning weapons in state buildings would have done NOTHING to prevent that or other numerous acts of gun violence by maniacs.

The law abiding and voting public are concerned for our safety, and at a time when that threat level is elevated because of concerns with terrorist activities, a anti-gun movement like this is just plain non sense, and it is anti-common sense!

If this action is not reversed I will join every pro-gun organization I can find and donate funds to the ILA to settle this matter in court, thus almost guarnteeing this to the be only term to be served because failures like this are hard to recover from.

Use common sense, not panic sense... do not turn millions of Virginia citizens into rejects with this action.
