I urge you to continue participation in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI).  It has already been a successful effort in reducing emissions, helping families have more energy efficient homes, thus reducing energy costs as well as pollution. Decreased air pollution also leads to better public health.  In addition, funding has gone to help localities prepare for and respond to recurrent flooding.  All of these results will help Virginians respond better to the inevitable results of climate change, as well as moving us faster toward carbon-free energy, which will mitigate some of those results. 

This is not the time to backtrack or slow down on such important work!
