Virginia's participation in RGGI has been a very successful effort to reduce pollution while directly helping communities on the front lines. RGGI has raised more than $370 million thus far. Those funds help thousands of struggling families reduce energy bills and increase energy efficiency. As any reaident of Southwestern VA can attest, the funding it has provided for localities to prepare for and protect against increasingly devastating floods can be life-saving.

As people of conscience, it is essential to support initiatives like RGGI that help us achieve our goal to address the impacts of climate change and reach carbon-free energy by 2050.
