Reason: As was indicated in the October 2022 Unified Regulatory Plan that DARS filed on Town Hall and that has received approval from the Office of Regulatory Management (ORM), DARS has reassessed planned regulatory actions under Executive Order 19 and the regulatory reduction initiative. DARS believes some of the originally planned elements for the chapter for the State Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program can be accomplished through other avenues, such as the development of guidance documents, trainings, and technical assistance, and in partnership with Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs), which serve as local ombudsman entities.
