I have enjoyed the Shenandoah River all my life, as a child my parents owned property near Front Royal.  I witnessed first hand the damage pollution can do to a river in the late 1950s and again in the early 1960s.  The last few years I have seen a lot of sick and dying sunfish and smallmouth bass.  This river needs all the help we can provide, so that it can be enjoyed by our future generations.

The proposed poultry litter regulation, is a great step in improving the health of our rivers and streams.  With proper management and oversight the poultry industry would no longer be a polluter of our streams and rivers due to improper handling and spreading of poultry litter.
