Please Pass The Poultry Litter Regulation

Jeff,

My name is Mike Harmon.  I read the posts on Riversmallies.com occasionally and saw your white paper on poultry litter regulation and thought I'd lend my voice to the cause.

Here's the information you requested:

1. Michael Harmon
2. 12237 Randle Ln, Culpeper, VA 22701
3. I fish the South Fork of the Shenandoah River for smallmouth bass.
4. I find it amazing that the end users of the poultry litter are allowed to apply this "fertilizer" to their fields without any regulation to the amount of material they use.  The State of Virginia needs to promote responsible stewardship of our natural resources, and it seems reasonable to me to institute regulatory soil testing, application windows and litter storage requirements to prevent pollution in our rivers.

Thank you so much for the work you do to protect the Shenandoah fishery, and I hope this helps.
