I am writing to strongly oppose proposed changes by the state of Virginia's Board of Counseling that would require ALL future Professional Counselors to have graduated ONLY from CACREP-accredited programs. These proposed changes are unnecessarily restrictive, not based in convincing empirical evidence, and are potentially illegal according to Federal Trade Commission standards.
