OPPOSED to this change & my program is CACREP!

Even though I graduated from a CACREP accredited program, I wanted to express my opposition against this change as there are sooooo many professionals out there who are great at their craft regardless of if they are CACREP accredited or not. In writing this, I do believe a governing body (CACREP) should enforce a standard amongst counselors and therapists from here on out and in all states, not just Virginia. Educational & licensure requirements by states should be the same across the board (i.e. 60 semester hours of schooling, 4,000 hours, 200 supervision hours, & the like). I believe that people who are already in the profession and have been practicing for XX number of years should not be penalized by this change. Thank you very much for your time in advance.
