Passing this legislation would be a huge mistake. As a 'seasoned' professional formerly licensed in Virginia and currently licensed in Maryland, restricting licensure to those that attended CACREP approved insttions unfairly discriminate against those that received training before CACREP was widespread which really seems like age-discrimination. Additionally, those that received very good training in the states and overseas would be unfairly blocked from practice. The Commonwhealth has a proud tradition of going its own way and doing the right thing. It is important to remember that in this instance.
