Valid voter identification

Any official document with photographic identification, valid at the time issued, should remain valid for identification purposes.  The purpose is for the registrar to assess the registrant's identification, not the timeliness of the issuance of the document.  I am among the aging voters of the Commonwealth, and I have voted consistently in nearly every contest in my jurisdiction since I became of voting age.  As I retire and as I cease to drive, my employment identification and my driver's license will still define my face with my name.  Neither my name nor my generic face (eyes, nose, mouth) will change, though my status for which the document was issued may have discontinued.  My right to vote, authenticated over decades, is not the status for which the official document was issued and should not discontinue because I might no longer work or drive.
