I request the Board of Health to act on the basis of science and good quality medicine and not for the purpose of promulgating restrictive social policy. The purpose of your regulations should be good patient care and safety. It should not be the role of the Board adhere to a conservative policy agenda designed to curtail abortions in Virginia by imposing excessive structural, hospital-like, regulations on the clinics that perform these procedures.  Please do the right thing and avoid targeted, restrictive social policy. That is not a proper role for your Board.
