I am OPPOSED to these Regulations for Licensure of Abortion Facilities

I totally oppose these proposed overly restrictive Regulations for Licensure of Abortion Facilities.  Hospitals built before 2010 do not have to follow these restrictions!!  Other facilities that perform very invasive procedures like colonoscopies, are not required to abide by these regulations.  It makes NO SENSE, unless you are trying to restrict a woman’s right to choose, which is the law of the land!

A few male legislators have forced these regulations on women.  Men can not possibly understand the many and varied issues that necessitate a woman having to choose an abortion.  We need these women’s clinics and women need access to these kinds of facilities, which perform abortions.  If women do not have such facilities particularly poor women, then they will have abortions done in the worst possible way.  We do not want to go back to the age of coat hangers and unlicensed people performing abortions.  But that is where Virginia is headed, if these regulations are implemented.  Every child should be a wanted and loved child.

Currently 17 of 21 women's clinics will have to shutdown because of these regulations.  These 17 clinics should be grandfathered in and not have to abide by these architectural regulations, just like HUNDREDS OF OLDER HOSPITALS are being grandfathered in.
