Action | Regulations for Licensure of Abortion Facilities |

I strongly support the current regulations on abortion centers approved overwhelmingly by the Board of Health.
These regulations should be made permanent and continue to include the strongest standards.
The current regulations are reasonable, common-sense measures to ensure that life-saving equipment is on hand, infections are prevented, and clear written policies and building guidelines are in place.
Health inspectors have documented multiple health and safety violations in the facilities. Most of the facilities had to submit plans of correction in order to receive provisional licensure. It is clear that an outside regulator is needed to ensure the health and safety of women.
Please maintain strong permanent abortion facility regulations. They are needed!
