The proposal being brought forward has no legitimate basis in responsible science. While there are genuine discussions to be had and factors of real science at play, this proposal is based in neither. It's a blanket assault on the civil rights of a disproportionately tiny minority group. More than that, it will impact cisgender women just as hard, and that's evident in the results of similar attitudes across the country. The proposed rules are nothing more than bigotry, against trans people and women in general, thinly disguised as heartfelt concern, while ignoring the very real issues women as a class face in athletic pursuits.
