Access to healthcare is crucial in rural Virginia, where patients frequently travel long distances for basic laser eye procedures. Currently, optometrists in 12 states are conducting in-office laser procedures, having completed over 146,000 procedures to date. For this reason, I support the proposed draft regulations as presented.
