I am a nurse practitioner with over 40 years experience in Women's Health. The proposed actions to impose regulations that threaten availability of safe legal first trimester abortions for women will return us to the days of illegal, unsafe, potentially deadly "back alley" abortions. The burdensome requirements for clinic buildings and unnecessary ultrasounds increase the finanacial burdens on women who have made the difficult decision to terminate a pregnancy. These decisions are not up to outside congressional leaders but should be between a woman and her provider with no further interference that limits the ability to obtain good care.
